Is Trimi legit?

A real business with a real prescription requirement. The question worth asking is what it dispenses and what it bills — $125 a month.

Legitimacy here has a specific regulatory meaning, and it is not the same as the medication being approved. Trimi can be entirely lawful while dispensing a preparation the FDA has never reviewed.

"Legit" tends to mean two different things when people search it. One is "will I be scammed" — and on that, Trimi behaves like a legitimate business. The other is "is what I am being sold what I think it is", and that is the question worth more of your time.

What "legit" means in this category

Three separate things get conflated. Whether the company is lawfully prescribing; whether the pharmacy is licensed; and whether the drug product is FDA-approved. A compounded GLP-1 can satisfy the first two and never the third — that is the normal state of affairs here, not a scandal, but it is worth stating precisely rather than answering yes or no.

What we verified

  • Compounded semaglutide advertised at $99/month on the annual plan.
  • Price is the same at every prescribed dose.
  • Advertises a six-month money-back promise subject to terms.

All checked 2026-09-18 from published sources.

The five-point check

  • Dispenses FDA-approved medication. No — this is a compounded preparation, which the FDA has not reviewed for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing quality. That is true of most low-cost programmes and is not by itself a mark against them, but you should know it.
  • Names its compounding pharmacy. Yes, publicly — which puts Trimi in a small minority of the programmes we track.

Important. What "compounded" means here. A compounding pharmacy prepares the medication against an individual prescription. It is legal and long-established, but the preparation itself is not FDA-approved. Since the shortages resolved the rules have narrowed considerably — see is compounded still legal.

Where it falls short

  • The headline rates require an annual commitment.
  • Compounded medication only, with no route to branded Zepbound or Wegovy.
  • Newer and smaller than the large platforms, with a shorter public track record.

Our verdict

Trimi is legitimate in the sense most people mean. Whether it is *right* for you is a separate question, and it comes down to the $125 a month and the headline rates require an annual commitment. Our full assessment is in the Trimi tirzepatide review.
